SAD: A FRUSTRATING PREMIER LEAGUE FIXTURE FOR JOSE MOURINHO AT OLD TRAFFORD AS SEVERAL PLAYERS FAILED TO PERFORM.

David de Gea

Agilely denied Raul Jimenez and Willy Boly at 0-0. His knack for pivotal saves continued and a fifth player of the year award out of six is not unforeseeable. 7
Antonio Valencia
Did not justify his recall ahead of Ashley Young, whose set-pieces were so decisive at Watford. Solid in defence but sombre in attack. 5
Chris Smalling
Another secure performance against the Championship champions' live wire forwards. Having started the season on the bench, his resilience is laudable. 6

Victor Lindelof
Had a shaky performance against Helder Costa and Jimenez. 5
Luke Shaw
Too loose in defence at times and was deservedly booked. Possibly his weakest performance of the campaign so far. 5
Marouane Fellaini
A steady presence in midfield, where he was useful in his own and Wolves' third. Still feels like a stop-gap in that deep-lying role. 6
