First-son Eric Trump warned
Fox News viewers today that Democrats will “investigate everybody” if they flip
the House in the upcoming midterms.
“If
the House flips, word is that they’re gonna’ start investigating the Trump
Organization, let alone the president and everybody around him,” host Brian Kilmeade said on Fox & Friends this
morning. “How do you feel about that?”
“You watch the level of harassment. If the House
flips, they will be investigating you, they will investigate everybody,” Eric
replied. “That’s what these people do. I mean, they weaponize a legal system.
They will come after everybody, relentlessly. They’ll know there is nothing there,
but it’s harass, it’s distract.”
He
continued:
“They will plant every story. I mean, we have seen.
This I can’t tell you how long we have seen this for. We will get a letter from
some senator. That letter is at The Washington Post three days before we even receive it.
It is the nastiest system. Coming from New York and being a total civilian in
this process I have never seen nastiness like we have seen from these people.
It’s cruel it’s nasty, but that’s why my father went to Washington. And the swamp
is deep, guys. The swamp is deeper than you can ever imagine.”
Special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into President Donald Trump’s relationship with Russia has become a
political talking point used by Democrats to boost their base. While
impeachment isn’t necessarily the rallying cry of Democrats in the midterms,
the possibility of using that option after flipping the House has been an
important factor in the November elections.
