Manchester United
manager Jose Mourinho has been charged by the FA for allegedly using
abusive langue towards a broadcasting camera.
The
Portuguese manager made the comments following his side’s comeback to
defeat Newcastle United 3-2 at Old Trafford.
Mourinho has been
given the chance to appeal the charge and could face a ban should he fail to
contest the charge.
Mourinho charged for abusive language
[2/2] It is
alleged that his language at the end of the fixture, as captured by the
broadcast footage, was abusive and/or insulting and/or improper. He has until
6pm on 19 October 2018 to respond to the charge.
The FA confirmed they were reviewing the incident and have
now charged the United coach.
Mourinho has until 6pm on Friday to oppose the charge.
A potential ban would see him absent from the touchline for Red
Devils’ crucial clash with Chelsea.
Manchester United supporters unhappy with FA
José
Mourinho has been charged by the FA for his celebrations vs Newcastle and what
he said in Portuguese.
Absolute joke that by the FA tbh.
Pep has screamed in
the faces of referees countless times and has gotten away with it. Mourinho
does anything that indicates that he is a human and gets charged (kicks a
bottle and laughs about it, swears at absolutely nobody). There are no rules to
have a camera in your face!
Mourinho being
charged by the FA for saying something, in Portuguese, where they employed linguistic
and lip-reading experts, instead of asking the work experience kid or
Google-translate, says everything you need to know about football nowadays. #MUFC
Loooooool this is
actually nuts man. Klopp pushes officials and gets praised for passion.
Mourinho mouths a swear word in his own language and he’s being charged with
improper conduct looool https://t.co/LYIWGAoYrV
That’s
an absolute joke. Regardless of your thoughts on Mourinho, he has been, and is
being, treated differently by the @FA.
Has no other manager ever cursed on the touch line? Let alone in a different
language. #MUFChttps://t.co/WklznYQevC
